Information you choose to send
Aurivedo does not offer user accounts, public comments, checkout, or a newsletter form. If you email Sam, the message includes the information you choose to provide and is handled through the email services used by you and Aurivedo.
Worksheet delivery
When you request a printable worksheet, Aurivedo stores the email address you enter, the worksheet requested, the page where you made the request, delivery status, and request dates. Aurivedo and its transactional email provider use this information to send the requested file and troubleshoot delivery. A worksheet request does not subscribe you to a newsletter or marketing email.
Worksheet request records are retained for no longer than 24 months and may be removed earlier when no longer needed. You may ask for deletion by emailing sam@aurivedo.com.
Shower-door questions
The contact-page form sends your email address, project stage, optional measurements and door details, question, and referring article to Sam through Aurivedo's transactional email provider. Inquiry content is not stored in the website database or published. Sam uses your email to respond to your question, not to subscribe you or send automated follow-ups.
The form temporarily stores hashed connection and email identifiers with submission counts to limit abuse. These records are cleaned up during subsequent submissions after approximately 24 hours. Inquiry emails are retained for no longer than 24 months unless needed to continue your requested conversation. You may request deletion by emailing sam@aurivedo.com.
Article feedback
When you rate a guide, Aurivedo stores your response, the article address, a random identifier saved in your browser, and any note you submit. The identifier helps keep one current response per browser and does not identify you by name. If you submit a “Not quite” response, you must select a reason, leave a note, and provide an email address. The email address is included in the private feedback notification sent to Sam and used only to follow up on that feedback. Feedback notes and email addresses are not published as comments.
To protect the feedback form from automated abuse, Aurivedo temporarily stores a one-way technical fingerprint derived from connection information. The fingerprint cannot be reversed to reveal the original address and is removed from the rate-limit store after approximately 24 hours. Feedback and contact details are reviewed periodically and retained for no longer than 24 months unless they are needed to continue a requested conversation. You may ask for deletion by emailing sam@aurivedo.com.
Hosting and basic logs
Hosting and security providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time to deliver and protect the site.
Cookies and analytics
Aurivedo uses Cloudflare Web Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic, referral sources, page usage, device and browser categories, approximate location, and basic site performance. Ahrefs states that its Web Analytics service does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, does not store raw IP addresses, and does not track people across websites or devices.
Aurivedo also uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand aggregate page usage, referral sources, and basic site performance. Google Analytics uses cookies and may process IP address, browser and device information, approximate location, and pages visited. Google states that it does not share this information except as described in its privacy policy and may process it in the United States and other countries. You can learn more and opt out through Google's advertising settings and browser add-on.
Aurivedo uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the pages — for example, aggregate mouse movement, scrolling, anonymized session recordings, and heat maps — so the guides can be improved. Clarity processes usage data under Microsoft's privacy terms and may set its own cookies or use similar technologies. You can opt out through the choices Microsoft describes in its privacy statement.
The article-feedback feature uses local browser storage to remember an anonymous response identifier and your most recent choice. Aurivedo does not use advertising cookies or sell visitor information. This notice will be updated before adding advertising technology or embedded services that materially change how the site collects information.
Outbound links
Links can take you to retailers or other third-party sites. Their privacy practices apply once you leave Aurivedo, and they may record ordinary referral information such as the page that sent the visit.
Changes
Aurivedo will revise this notice when the site’s data practices change. The date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
