AurivedoAbout Us

Editorial Standards

How Aurivedo sources and reviews shower-door guidance, handles disclosures and images, and corrects errors.

What we publish

Aurivedo publishes practical guidance on shower door selection, measurement, installation, and repair. Every article is built to help a homeowner or installer make a decision or fix a problem with reliable information.

We do not publish sponsored content, paid reviews, or manufacturer-supplied copy disguised as editorial. If a supplier provides a sample, image, or technical document, we disclose it in the article.

How we source information

Our content draws from four types of sources:

  1. Manufacturer specifications and technical documents — product manuals, cut sheets, and installation guides from shower door hardware and glass suppliers.
  2. Industry standards and codes — U.S. federal regulations (e.g., 16 CFR Part 1201), ANSI standards, and trade association guidance (e.g., NGA).
  3. Customer-supplied projects — photographs, measurements, and project details shared by readers or buyers. We label these clearly as "customer-provided" and do not edit the substance of their experience.
  4. Editorial observation and firsthand experience — layout checks, measurement methods, installation sequences, and maintenance work documented by the author or editorial team.

We do not claim laboratory testing, certified inspection, or professional engineering review unless explicitly stated.

Fact-checking and review

Technical content is reviewed for accuracy before publication. This includes verifying dimensions, code references, and manufacturer claims against primary documents. If a source is paywalled or no longer available, we note the date it was accessed.

When we describe a product or brand, we link to the source we used. We do not receive compensation for these links.

Affiliate relationships and disclosures

Aurivedo does not currently use affiliate links or earn commissions from retailer links.

If we join an affiliate program in the future, some articles may contain affiliate links to retailers. When a reader clicks an affiliate link and makes a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to the reader.

Affiliate relationships will not influence our content. We will link to products because they are relevant to the topic, not because of a commercial agreement. Affiliate links will be disclosed at the top of articles that contain them.

Information about any active affiliate partners will be available upon request. Our Affiliate Disclosure describes our current status.

Corrections and updates

If we discover an error in published content—whether factual, technical, or typographic—we correct it and note the correction at the bottom of the article with the date of the change.

If a source document is updated after our publication (for example, a manufacturer revises a specification), we update our article and record the revision date.

October 30, 2026 update: Added how we identify author-recorded work and distinguish firsthand experience from manufacturer instructions.

No medical or legal advice

Shower door installation involves glass, water, and structural loads. Our guidance is practical and source-based, but it does not replace professional advice for your specific situation. If you are unsure about wall structure, plumbing, or electrical safety, consult a licensed contractor.
